Ancestral Veneration

Definition:
Ancestral veneration is the practice of honoring, feeding, and working with one's deceased family members and spiritual lineage.

Not Worship:
Ancestors are not gods. Veneration means showing respect, maintaining relationship, and reciprocal exchange—not worship.

Why It Matters:
• Ancestors have a vested interest in their descendants' success.
• They provide protection, wisdom, and blessings.
• Neglected ancestors can cause problems.
• Elevated ancestors become powerful allies.
• This maintains family spiritual power across generations.

Basic Practice:
• Create an ancestor altar with photos, offerings, candles.
• Pour libations (water, coffee, alcohol)
• Leave food offerings.
• Speak to them regularly.
• Ask for guidance and protection.
• Thank them for blessings.

Who Qualifies:
• Blood ancestors (family lineage).
• Spiritual ancestors (teachers, initiators, lineage holders).
• Adoptive ancestors (chosen family who have passed).
