Definition:
Evocation is calling a spirit, demon, or entity to appear before you (not into you—that's invocation).
Traditional Process:
• Cast protective circle.
• Use appropriate seals and symbols.
• Recite conjurations or prayers.
• Offer incense and offerings.
• State your intention.
• Receive the spirit's presence.
• Communicate and negotiate.
• Dismiss properly.
Tools:
• Triangle of manifestation (where spirit appears)
• Circle for operator protection.
• Sigils and seals
• Incense and candles.
• Wand or sword for directing.
• Scrying tools (mirror, bowl, crystal)
Modern Approaches:
• Less ceremonial, more direct.
• Focus on relationship vs. commanding.
• Offerings and respect vs. coercion.
• May skip elaborate circle casting.
• Still requires protection and clear intention.
